Hawks down Jewell to win point in KC Crown

Keegan Sullivan keyed a 13-0 run in the fourth period to lead Rockhurst to a 77-69 victory over William Jewell and gain a point in the KC Crown standings Saturday at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Missouri.

Sullivan drained a three-pointer to give the Hawks a 56-55 lead at the 8:20 mark in the fourth period. Rebeca Garcia scored seven of Rockhurst's next 10 points to move the Hawks' lead to 66-55 with 4:53 left to play.

The Cardinals never got closer than seven points in the final five minutes. Rockhurst outscored Jewell, 27-16, in the final 10 minutes.

Sullivan led the Hawks with 16 points and 10 rebounds. She connected on five-of-11 field goals, including three-of-four on threes.

Chloe Frank collected 14 points and five rebounds against her former team. Garcia finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Macie Conway and Clare Diener combined for 15 points and four assists. Akili Felici and Averi Porter came off the bench to combine for 17 points.
