Women conclude regular season this weekend

The Hawks have won their last two games

The Rockhurst women's basketball team closes out the regular season on the road this week at McKendree at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and at Illinois Springfield at 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Hawks (9-15, 7-11 GLVC) are coming two wins at home last week against Lincoln and Missouri S&T. Rockhurst is currently tied for 10th in the GLVC Point Rating System.

McKendree (13-11, 9-9 GLVC) is coming off a 68-66 loss at Upper Iowa last Saturday. Sophomore forward Baylie Parks leads the GLVC in scoring (18.7 pg) and rebounding (10.2 pg).

The Bearcats defeated Rockhurst, 66-61, earlier this season at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks lead the all-time series, 8-6.

Illinois Springfield (5-21, 4-14 GLVC) has lost its last five games going into a Thursday game against William Jewell. Sophomore guard Kayla Rice leads the Prairie Stars with a 16.3 scoring average.

Rockhurst defeated Springfield 63-50 earlier this year in Kansas City. The Hawks hold a 14-10 lead in all-time series.
