Sullivan carries Hawks past Missouri S&T

Keegan Sullivan scored 28 points in her final home game to lead Rockhurst to a 65-60 victory over Missouri S&T Saturday on Senior Day at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Sullivan tied a career-high with six 3-point field goals and also posted seven rebounds. In the second half, she scored 16 points and hit four threes.

The Hawks jumped out to a 16-10 lead in the first quarter and led 30-27 at halftime. Sullivan and Clare Diener combined for 18 points in the first half.

Rockhurst opened the second half on a 15-10 run to take its biggest lead of the game at 45-37 with three minutes left in the third period.

Sullivan gave the Hawks a 55-52 lead on her sixth 3-pointer with 6:16 left to play. She added two free throws with four seconds left to ice the five-point win.

Diener finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Chloe Frank tallied nine points and five rebounds. Rebeca Garcia posted seven points, five rebounds and three blocked shots in her final home game.
