Elise Magee scored a career-high six goals in her Rockhurst debut to lead the Hawks to a 16-14 victory over Colorado Mesa Friday at Bourke Field.

The season-opening win was Rockhurst's first-ever over the Mavericks, who had defeated the Hawks in their previous 12 meetings going back to 2014.
 
Magee, a transfer from Colorado State-Pueblo, scored all of her goals in the first half to help give the Hawks an 11-8 halftime lead. Kaylee Lary and Mallory Griffiths scored fourth-quarter goals to secure the victory.

• Magee led the Hawks with 10 shots in addition to posting three draw controls.
• Lary posted two goals, one assist, two ground balls and one draw control.
• Anna Loeffelman collected two goals and two draw controls.
• Freshman Kylee Pickens had a team-high six draw controls and scored one goal.
• Rhea Spiers added one goal, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• Mae Beins finished with 11 saves.
