Inside game carries Quincy past Rockhurst

Quincy scored 30 points in the paint and grabbed 50 rebounds in posting a 77-62 victory over Rockhurst Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Keegan Sullivan led the Hawks with a season-high 31 points, including 22 in the second half. She also posted 14 rebounds and four assists. Chloe Frank tallied 15 points on five 3-point field goals.

Quincy went on a 10-0 run early in the fourth period to take a 61-46 lead with 5:34 left to play. Rockhurst was fell behind by 19 before scoring 10 points in the final two minutes. Sullivan scored eight points in the final 1:41.

Rockhurst jumped out to a 17-13 lead after the first period. Frank and Sullivan combined for 11 points in the opening quarter. Quincy rallied to take a 30-27 lead into halftime.
