The Hawks are 3-1 at home this season

Women host two games in next four days

The Rockhurst women host Central Christian College (Kansas) and Newman University this week at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks open the week against Central Christian on Monday at 5:15 p.m. and take on Newman at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.

The Hawks (4-3, 1-2 GLVC) posted their first conference win nine days ago with a 75-54 win at William Jewell. Junior forward Tori Miller led the Hawks with 24 points at Jewell and leads the team in scoring (16.6 pg).

Central Christian (5-8) is coming off a 60-39 loss at home to Wayland Baptist last Saturday. Junior guard Chloe Clevenger is averaging a team-high 14.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

The Hawks have won the last their three previous meetings with Central Christian, most recently winning 93-56 in 2017.

Newman (5-4) defeated Kansas Christian, 98-42, last Saturday in Wichita, Kansas. Junior forward Jaeden McMillin leads the Jets in scoring (14.6 pg) going into a Tuesday night game at home vs. McPherson College.

The Hawks hold a 3-2 lead in the all-time series dating back to 2008. This is their first meeting since Rockhurst won at Newman, 66-64, in 2013.
