Hawks host Truman in conference opener

The Rockhurst women open their conference schedule at home on Saturday at noon against Truman State. The Hawks then travel to McKendree for a Monday night matchup at 5:30.

The Hawks (3-1) are coming off an 82-41 win at home over Hannibal-LaGrange on Nov. 21. Junior forward Tori Miller leads the team in scoring (16.8 pg), highlighted by a 36-point performance against Central Christian College of the Bible.

Truman State (2-4, 0-0 GLVC) split two games at the Drury Thanksgiving Classic this week. The Bulldogs defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith, 66-64, and fell to Missouri Southern, 96-82. Freshman guard Morgan Miller is averaging a team-high 12.6 points per game.

The Bulldogs hold a 22-10 advantage in the all-time series after winning two games over the Hawks last season.

McKendree (2-2, 0-1 GLVC) fell at Maryville, 64-49, in their conference opener on Tuesday. Sophomore center Kyra Tyler leads the Bearcats with a 12.3 scoring average.

The Bearcats won both meetings with the Hawks last season. Rockhurst leads the all-time series, 8-7.
