Unbeaten Hawks travel to Northwest Missouri

The Rockhurst women's basketball team returns to action Wednesday night at Northwest Missouri State in a 6 p.m. tip in Maryville, Missouri. The Hawks also host Hannibal-LaGrange on Friday at 5:15 p.m.

The Hawks (2-0) opened the season with home wins over Central Christian College of the Bible (82-20) and Park (81-66) last weekend.

Junior forward Tori Miller posted 49 points, 14 rebounds, seven steals and six assists in her first two games at Rockhurst.

Northwest Missouri (1-3) split two games at the Central Region WBB Showcase in St. Joseph, Missouri last weekend. The Bearcats defeated Sioux Falls, 75-64, and fell to Wayne State (Neb.), 48-46.

Junior transfer Andrea Lopreato set the Northwest Missouri single-game scoring record with 40 points against Sioux Falls on Nov. 14.

The Bearcats defeated the Hawks, 66-51, at KC's Municipal Auditorium last season. Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series, 15-11.

Hannibal-LaGrange (1-5) is coming off an 89-32 exhibition loss at Maryville Tuesday night. The Trojans are led by senior forward Ivy Lesley, who is averaging 23.0 points per game.
