Men set to face No. 2 Washburn in Topeka

Jaylen Wesley is averaging 20.5 points and 8.0 rebounds
Rockhurst Men's Basketball travels to Topeka, Kansas to face second-ranked Washburn on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Hawks began the season with a pair of wins at the GLVC/GLIAC Challenge last weekend, defeating Davenport 82-72 and Purdue Northwest 85-78.

Jaylen Wesley earned his first career GLVC/Athletics Solutions Player of the Week honor. He averaged 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals last weekend.

Drenin Dinkins and Jaden Flournoy each collected 34 points and combined for 22 rebounds. Peyton Newbern and Massi Malterer both tallied 15 points.

Washburn (4-0) defeated Minnesota State Moorhead, 95-63, last Friday and Winona State, 88-57, last Saturday at the Central Region Challenge.

The Ichabods lead the all-time series, 34-31, over the Hawks. Washburn has won the last two matchups, including a 77-55 win over Rockhurst on Nov. 15, 2024 at Mason-Halpin Field House.
