Seven players from Rockhurst earned 2025 All-Conference Men's Soccer accolades from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while two Hawks and head coach Tony Tocco nabbed major postseason honors.

Mattia Petricca was voted by the league coaches as GLVC Defensive Player of the Year. Franco Briani Brunoro was selected the GLVC Goalkeeper Player of the Year and Tocco earned Coach of the Year laurels as voted by his peers. A total of 33 standouts were named to the 2025 All-Conference Teams.

Petricca becomes Rockhurst's sixth Defensive Player of the Year, with Logan Feldmann winning the last award in 2017. The junior defender from Rome, Italy started all 17 games on the backline, scoring two assists while playing in all 1,420 minutes. He helped the Hawks hold opponents to 12 goals – the lowest in the league – while recording seven shutouts. He was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3 and was also named to All-GLVC Second Team.

Briani Brunoro becomes Rockhurst's first-ever Goalkeeper of the Year, while being named to the All-GLVC First Team. The senior from Sao Paolo, Brazil appeared in 12 games and started 11, playing 978 minutes. He led the league for GLVC-only matches in goals against average (.444), save percentage (.846), and shutouts (8). He was  named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Sep. 15.

Tocco is the first coach to receive the GLVC Coach of the Year award seven times, having previously been recognized by GLVC coaches in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Tocco ranks second all-time among intercollegiate men's soccer coaches with 751 career victories while leading the Hawks to their seventh GLVC regular season title and 12-3-3 overall record in 2025.

Joining Petricca and Briani Brunoro on the All-GLVC First Team are sophomore redshirt Blake Barrick, redshirt senior defender Noah Brende, senior midfielder Kaden Cripe, senior defender Asier Olano and sophomore forward Immanuel Wayoro.

Barrick, Cripe and Wayoro have combined for 19 goals and 46 points. Brende and Olano have helped hold their opponents to 12 goals in 18 games while combining for two goals and eight assists.

The league also recognized 15 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees. Noah Brende was Rockhurst's nominee. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
