Lantz, Smith, Matzke lead Hawks to 6-0 win

Two goals each by Anna Lantz, Lexi Matzke and Caitlyn Smith led Rockhurst to a 6-0 win against Upper Iowa on Sunday in Fayette, Iowa. The Hawks have gone 3-0-1 in their last four games.

Lantz scored her goals during the fourth minute and the 22nd minute. Matzke collected goals in the ninth minute and 52nd minute. Smith posted her goals in the 15th minute and 33rd minute.

Lantz and Smith each took six shots. Smith collected four shots on goal. Lantz totaled five shots on goal and had one assist. Matzke tallied three total shots and added two assists.

The Hawks took 25 shots (17 on goal) and outshot the Peacocks 25-6. Madison Mertzlufft recorded two saves in the second half.

Rockhurst (4-3-3, 3-2-2 GLVC) faces Quincy on Friday at 5 p.m. at Bourke Field.
