Rockhurst falls to Quincy on late goal

Rockhurst Women's Soccer allowed a goal in the 83rd minute in falling to Quincy 2-1 Friday night at Bourke Field.

Rebecca Rheinheimer scored on a 22-yard shot at the top of the arc with 7:16 left for the game-winning goal. Rheinheimer gave Quincy a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 28th minute.

Jenna Knight tied the score in the 42nd minute with her first NCAA goal at Rockhurst. She scored from 15 yards out off a left cross. Avery Lewis and Alex Zoellner each recorded an assist on Knight's goal.

The Hawks collected 12 shots. Anna Lantz led Rockhurst with four shots (one on goal). Caitlyn Smith tallied two shots. Lexi Matzke also recorded a shot on goal.

Rockhurst (4-4-3, 3-3-2 GLVC) faces Truman State on Sunday at noon at Bourke Field.
