Hope leads Hawks to 3-0 win over Upper Iowa

Delaney Hope posted 14 kills, a .737 hiitting percentage and six blocks to lead Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Upper Iowa Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks improve their overall record to 16-7 and remain unbeaten at 7-0 in conference play.

Rockhurst took the first two sets, 25-9, and 25-19. The Hawks clinched the match with a 25-23 victory in the third set.

Sarah Pyle had nine kills, nine digs, four assists, three blocks, and two service aces.

Katie Vargo had a team-high 14 digs. Mary Kate Mulvaney (19) and Molly Trachta (13) combined for 32 assists. Chloe Tyrrell added eight kills and nine digs.

The Hawks collected 47 kills, 53 digs, 42 assists, three service aces, and nine blocks. Rockhurst had a .288 hitting percentage and held Upper Iowa to a .076 hitting percentage.

Rockhurst travels to Rolla, Missouri Friday for a 6 p.m. match with Missouri S&T.
