Second-half shooting leads Saints over Hawks

Maryville scored 46 points on 57.6 percent shooting in the second half to pull away for a 78-54 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Hawks and Saints battled to a 32-all tie at halftime. There were eight lead changes in the first half and neither team led by more than five points.

Maryville opened the second half on a 10-2 run to take a 44-34 lead. The Saints built their lead to 16 points going into the final 10 minutes.

Chloe Frank led the Hawks with nine points, four assists and two blocks. Akili Felici tallied seven points and three rebounds. Keegan Sullivan and Macie Conway combined for 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
