Women end road trip with loss to UMSL Tritons

The Rockhurst women's basketball team could not overcome a strong first half by Missouri-St. Louis in falling to the Tritons, 70-52, Saturday in St. Louis, Missouri.

UMSL jumped out to a 20-14 lead after the first period. The Tritons outscored the Hawks 17-5 in the second period to take a 37-19 halftime lead.

The Hawks went on a 11-3 run to cut UMSL's lead to 13 points, 52-39, with 7:55 left in the fourth period. The Tritons ended the game on an 18-13 run.

Keegan Sullivan led the Hawks with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Clare Diener scored 12 points on five-of-10 shooting. Rebeca Garcia posted 11 points and five rebounds.
