Rockhurst women travel to St. Louis this week

Keegan Sullivan ranks fifth in scoring and seventh in rebounding in the GLVC

The Rockhurst women's basketball team heads east this week for a pair of games in the Gateway City. The Hawks face Maryville at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday and wrap up the weekend with a 1 p.m. game on Saturday at Missouri-St. Louis.

The Hawks (4-7, 2-3 GLVC) split two games at home last weekend. Keegan Sullivan and Macie Conway combined for 37 points in a 73-59 win over Southwest Baptist on Friday. Sullivan, Rebeca Garcia and Aubrey Treadwell combined for 37 points in a 67-61 loss to Drury on Saturday.

Maryville (5-9, 3-3 GLVC) broke a four-game losing streak on Sunday with an 80-79 victory at Upper Iowa. The Saints are holding their opponents to 69.6 points per game. Maryville won both meetings with Rockhurst last year and holds a 17-2 lead in the all-time series.

UMSL (9-3, 3-2 GLVC) is coming off an 56-44 loss at Upper Iowa last Friday. The Tritons host Southwest Baptist on Thursday prior to playing the Hawks. Rockhurst won last year at UMSL, 62-53, and trails 21-13 in the all-time series.
