Men post 3-0 victory over Emmanuel

The Rockhurst men's volleyball team posted a .397 hitting percentage to record a 3-0 sweep of Emmanuel on Friday in Quincy, Illinois. Rockhurst is now on a four-match winning streak.
 
A 6-0 run by Rockhurst in the first set extended their lead to 17-8 in route to a 25-18 win. Max Tkachev and Lucas Tran combined for nine kills in the first set.

Rockhurst won the second and third sets, 25-18 and 25-12, respectively, to move to 4-5 overall.

Tkachev led Rockhurst with 14 kills, two service aces, eight digs and two blocks. Nathan Jacques collected 31 assists. Daniel Mekonen and Tran also had two service aces.

Jackson Daugherty led the team in digs with nine. Tran added two blocks.

Three from Rockhurst finished with a plus .400 hitting percentage, including Nate Barton (.667), Aron DeRoy (.571) and Tkachev (.435).

The Hawks finished with 40 kills, 34 assists, seven service aces, five blocks and 30 digs.
