Women open January action at home

The Hawks return to action at home this weekend
The Rockhurst women return to the hardwood this weekend at Mason-Halpin Field House against conference foes Southwest Baptist and Drury. The Hawks meet SW Baptist at 5:15 p.m. Friday and moved their game with Drury from Sunday to Saturday at 3 p.m. due to an expected winter storm late Saturday night.

The Hawks (3-6, 1-2 GLVC) have been out of action since posting an 80-78 overtime win over Baker on Dec. 19. Chloe Frank sank the winning shot on a 3-pointer with 4.8 seconds left, while Macie Conway led the team with 22 points.

Southwest Baptist (4-6, 2-2 GLVC) has won four of its last seven games. The Bearcats are averaging 73.8 points per game and have three players averaging in double-figure scoring.

Drury (7-3, 3-0 GLVC) is coming off an 84-66 win over Northeastern State on Dec. 21 after falling to No. 1-ranked Grand Valley State, 104-63, in Champaign, Illinois. The Panthers have won all three of their conference games at home.
