Free throws help UIndy edge Hawks, 63-60

Indianapolis made 13-of-14 free throws in the final six minutes to rally for a 63-60 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks went on a 12-2 run early in the fourth quarter to take a 54-47 lead with 4:17 left to play. Macie Conway and Clare Diener combined for eight points in the run.

UIndy scored the next six points to cut Rockhurst's lead to 54-53. The Greyhounds tied the score at 60-all on a three-point basket with 41 seconds left and took a 62-60 lead with two free throws with nine seconds left.

Diener led the Hawks with 17 points and four rebounds. Rebeca Garcia posted 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. Conway tallied 13 points and five rebounds. Lauren Sandstrom added six points and seven rebounds.
