Women finish eighth at KC Cup

Jayden Berrey tied for 16th place

The Rockhurst women's golf team finished in eighth place at the KC Cup Tuesday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.

The Hawks finished with a 978 team score over 54 holes. Rockhurst shot a 322 in the first round, followed by a 329 in the second round and a 327 in the third round.

Caroline Giocondo tied for 14th place at 241 to lead the Hawks. She shot a 76 in the first round, 83 in the second round and an 82 in the third round.

Jayden Berrey tied for 16th place at 242 (78-82-83), and Grace Claney tied for 23rd at 244 (82-80-82). Celia Stiltner and Sarah Biscan both tied for 39th at 253.

Charley Strahm led the Rockhurst B team, tying for 51st place at 267.
