Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Lantz scores two second-half goals in 2-0 victory

Junior forward Anna Lantz's two second-half goals led the Hawks to a 2-0 victory over Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday afternoon at Bourke Field, their second shutout of the season.

Rockhurst (3-4, 1-2 GLVC) collected their first conference win of the season and ended a three-game skid. Today marked Lantz's four-career multi-goal effort, her first since Oct. 27 of last year when she scored four against William Jewell.

Lantz's first goal was during the 54th minute into the upper left corner of the net. Her second goal during the 58th minute went to the lower right. Both goals came from 18 yards out.

Lizzo Rosenthal assisted on Lantz's first goal as Julia Witt assisted on the second.

Rockhurst took 10 shots, including nine in the second half. The Hawks outshot UMSL (3-2-1, 0-2-1 GLVC) 10-6 and only allowed one shot by the Tritons in the second half.

Taylor James finished with four saves in route to the shutout victory.

The Hawks hit the road for the next two matches. On Friday, Rockhurst travels to Indianapolis and is at Illinois Springfield on Sunday.
