Goals by Anna Lantz, Elle Kimball and Lizzo Rosenthal fueled a 3-0 Hawks' shutout win over Sioux Falls Friday night during their home opener at Bourke Field.

Lantz's goal in the eighth minute began the scoring from 25 yards out on a direct free kick. Kimball's shot from 12 yards out in the left side penalty area gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead in the 69th minute. Lantz assisted on Kimball's goal.

Lizzo Rosenthal scored the Hawks' final goal in the 85th minute from 20 yards out off a corner kick by Gabby Hennessy.

Rockhurst recorded 29 total shots, including 17 in the first half and 12 in the second half. Lantz had nine shots to lead the Hawks.

The Hawks' defense did not allow a shot in the first half and only three total. Taylor James led the Hawks' defense with one save.

Rockhurst returns to Bourke Field on Sunday at noon to begin conference play against 24th-ranked McKendree. Live stats and live video will be available. Check the Rockhurst web site for the game links.
