Hawks earn five WGCA All-American Scholar honors

Five members of the Rockhurst women's golf team were named to the All-American Scholar Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), which tied Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis for the second highest number of honorees from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Graduate student Emma Mullendore (Omaha, Neb.), senior Greta Hinds (Jefferson City, Mo.), junior Jayden Berrey (Columbia, Mo.), junior Sarah Biscan (Wildwood, Mo.) and sophomore Celia Stiltner (Springfield, Mo.) received All-American Scholar honors with a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average.

The five golfers helped Rockhurst succeed both on and off the course under head coach Brian Moeller. In the classroom, the Hawks posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.778. On the course, Rockhurst finished first at the McKendree Bearcat Dual Gender and tied for first place at the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational.

Mullendore earned her fifth academic honors from the WGCA. Berrey, Biscan and Hinds received their third academic honors from the WGCA.

In total, 1,497 collegiate golfers from all three division programs were recognized. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.
