Hawks edge Drury to advance to GLVC title match

The Rockhurst women's tennis team posted a 4-3 victory over Drury in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Saturday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.

The Hawks (16-6) will face 29th-ranked Indianapolis (12-5) in the GLVC Tournament championship match on Sunday at noon.

Dani Lentisco won the deciding match in three sets in No. 5 singles. She rallied to win the final two sets, 6-1, 6-4, after dropping the first set, 6-4.

Ella Coleman moved her season record to 16-3 with 6-4, 6-2 wins in No. 1 singles. Sofia Valdespino and Maria Baez also won in two sets in No. 2 and 6 singles.

Lentisco and Baez won in No. 3 doubles, 6-4.
