Hawks fall to Maryville, 10-7, in GLVC Tournament

The Rockhurst men's lacrosse team fell to 12th-ranked Maryville, 10-7, in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Friday at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.

The Saints (12-3) jumped out to a 3-1 lead when the game was suspended Thursday night due to thunderstorms. Maryville took a 5-3 lead into halftime and grabbed a commanding 9-4 lead into the fourth period.

Rockhurst pulled within 9-7 with 2:45 left on a goal by Linus Toward. The Saints added their final goal with 13 seconds left.

The Hawks (10-5) outshot Maryville, 49-38, and won faceoff battle, 14-7.

Carson Bradshaw was named to the All-Tournament Team. He won 13-of-20 faceoffs, collected eight ground balls, and scored one goal.
