Avery Huffman and Emily Berry led the Rockhurst softball team to a pair of road wins at Upper Iowa, 2-0 and 7-5, Monday in Fayette, Iowa.
Huffman threw a two-hit shutout in the first game and collected the save in the second game. Berry combined for six hits and four RBIs in the two games.
In Game One, Maya Gallagher doubled home two runs in the second inning to lead the Hawks. Lauren Good doubled and Lilly Spring singled prior to Gallagher's double.
Huffman (6-9) shut out the Peacocks on two hits in 7.0 innings. She struck out four and walked three.
Berry drove in four runs on four hits in the second game. She collected RBI doubles in the first, third and fifth, and hit a solo home run in the seventh.
Jayla Pierce singled home a run in the third and Good connected on a solo home run in the sixth.
Anna Stephen picked up her second win of the season, allowing three runs on five hits over 4.1 innings. Huffman got the final two outs to collect her second save of the season.
The Hawks (11-19, 6-10 GLVC) return home to host Quincy on Saturday afternoon.
