Dance Team finishes fifth at NDA Nationals

The Rockhurst Dance Team finished in fifth place in the final round in the Spirit Rally-Dance Division II category Friday at the NDA College National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The Hawks, under the direction of Spirit Squad Director LaTisha Davis, posted an 85.125 overall team score. Cal-State Dominguez Hills University came in first place, followed by Tarleton State University and Texas Women's University and West Virginia Wesleyan College.

The Spirit Rally-Dance category allows teams to perform their traditional game day material against other teams from around the country. It is the truest form of what collegiate dance teams do to support the school's athletic teams while elevating fan participation and supporting school traditions.
