Hawks suffer first home loss of the season

Macie Conway led the Hawks with 19 points

Drury overcame a halftime deficit to post an 85-67 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House. It was the first home loss of the season for the Hawks, who won their first 10 home games.

The Hawks jumped out to a 35-32 halftime lead. The Panthers outscored Rockhurst 53-32 in the second half while hitting 20-of-36 shots.

Macie Conway led the Hawks with 19 points on seven-of-20 shooting. Aubrey Treadwell scored 12 points on four 3-pointers. Allison McFarren tallied 11 points behind three 3-pointers.

Rockhurst (11-9, 8-8 GLVC) shot 33.8 percent from the field (24-of-71) and 55.6 percent from the foul line (10-of-18).

Drury (17-4, 12-3 GLVC) made 32-of-65 field goals (49.2 percent) and 14-of-19 from the foul line (73.7 percent). Reese Schaaf led the Panthers with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

The Hawks host Southwest Baptist on Saturday.
