Sullivan scores 37 in 89-81 win at Jewell

Keegan Sullivan scored a career-high 37 points to carry the Rockhurst women to an 89-81 victory over William Jewell Saturday in Liberty, Missouri.

Sullivan scored 14 points of Rockhurst's final 31 points to rally the Hawks from a 66-58 deficit late in the third quarter. The senior forward also finished with 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals while hitting 12-of-19 field goals and six-of-seven 3-pointers.

Rockhurst outscored Jewell, 28-15, in the final 10 minutes. The Hawks scored their last 12 points from the foul line in the final 3:33.

Macie Conway posted 12 points and three assists. Ali Kamies tallied eight points. Allison McFarren, Rebeca Garcia, Ella Campbell and Aubrey Treadwell each scored six points.

Rockhurst (13-9, 10-8 GLVC) shot 43.9 percent from the field (29-of-66) and 85.7 percent from the foul line (18-of-21).

Jewell (5-19, 3-15 GLVC) made 26-of-56 field goals (46.4 percent) and 22-of-29 from the foul line (75.9 percent). Ayden Shannon led the Cardinals with 30 points.

The Hawks play at Lewis on Thursday, Feb. 22.
