Sullivan leads Hawks to 73-62 win over Jewell

Keegan Sullivan tallied 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead Rockhurst to a 73-62 victory over William Jewell to pick up a point in the KC Crown rivalry Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Sullivan scored the Hawks' first eight points to give Rockhurst an early 8-5 lead. She finished the first half with 14 points on seven-of-nine shooting to give the Hawks a 40-25 halftime lead.

Jewell rallied in the second half to cut the Hawks' lead to seven points at 54-47 with nine minutes left to play. Rockhurst went on an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to take a 15-point lead at 62-47.

Clare Diener posted 12 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Aubrey Treadwell scored 10 points on four-of-seven shooting. Akili Felici, Macie Conway and Ella Campbell combined for 20 points. Rebeca Garcia collected nine rebounds. Averi Porter added three assists.

Rockhurst shot 41.7 percent (25-of-60) from the floor and 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the foul line. The Hawks dominated the boards by a 51-26 margin.
