Hawks suffer loss at home to Missouri Valley

Missouri Valley held off a late rally by Rockhurst to post a 66-56 victory over the Hawks Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Vikings jumped out to a 20-9 lead after the first period and led 37-29 at halftime. The Hawks pulled within seven points with 1:48 left in the fourth period.

Chloe Frank led the Hawks with seven rebounds, seven points, three assists and three steals. Keegan Sullivan, Akili Felici and Macie Conway combined for 30 points. Rebeca Garcia tallied seven points, five rebounds and five steals.

Rockhurst tied a season-low with 15 field goals while hitting 21-of-25 from the foul line. The Vikings held the Hawks to a season-low 28 rebounds.
