Tottleben scores three goals in 5-2 Hawks win

Three goals by Jacie Tottleben led Rockhurt to a 5-2 victory over Missouri S&T in Rolla, Missouri to finish the regular season. Anna Lantz had assists on all three of Tottleben's goals.

The Hawks (12-5-1, 10-3-1 GLVC) clinched a home game in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament next weekend. Rockhurst will host Missouri-St. Louis next Sunday at Bourke Field at noon.

The first two goals of the match both took place in the eighth minute, one by each team. Tottleben's first goal put the Hawks up 1-0, but the Miners responded 11 seconds later with an equalizer to tie the score, 1-1.

Tottleben's second goal was in the 15th minute, giving the Hawks a 2-1 lead. Sarah Gilmore added a goal in the 43rd minute (assisted by Lauren O'Connor) to extend the Hawks' lead to 3-1 going into halftime.

Lizzo Rosenthal scored a goal in the 57th minute, assisted by Gabby Hennessy, to push the Rockhurst lead to 4-1. 

Missouri S&T responded with a goal in the 61st minute to cut the Hawks' lead to 4-2.

In the 71st minute, Rockhurst went up 5-2 after Tottleben scored her third goal. The score stayed at 5-2 for the remainder of the match.

Rockhurst outshot Missouri S&T, 21-6. The Hawks had 14 shots in the first half and seven shots in the second half. 

Lantz led the Hawks with 10 shots, as Tottleben had four. Taylor James recorded two saves.
