Rockhurst faces Prairie Stars in GLVC Tournament

The Rockhurst Hawks will be making its 20th consecutive appearance in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament this weekend at the Williamsville High School Fieldhouse for the second year in a row in Williamsville, Illinois.

The Hawks (19-6, 10-3 GLVC) earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament. The Hawks will play No. 5 seed Illinois Springfield (18-9, 8-5 GLVC) at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Rockhurst defeated the Prairie Stars, 3-0, in Kansas City on Nov. 1.

Top-seeded Quincy (24-4, 11-2 GLVC) will face No. 8 McKendree (11-15, 6-7 GLVC) in the opening quarterfinal match Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

The first evening quarterfinal match Thursday night will pit second-seeded Maryville (17-10, 11-2 GLVC) against No. 7 seed Indianapolis (18-10, 8-5 GLVC) at 5:30 p.m. Third-seeded Lewis (19-10, 10-3 GLVC) will face sixth-seeded Missouri-St. Louis (19-7, 8-5 GLVC) at 8:30 p.m.

Each of the four quarterfinal winners from Friday will advance to the semifinals at 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The semifinal winners will face each other on Sunday at 12 p.m. in the title match.

For the second consecutive season, all GLVC Championship Tournament action will be streamed for $10 per match or $25 for the full tournament on GLVCSN.com, the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps, and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. As was the case the past two season, all spectators attending in person will be required to pre-purchase tickets online, which can be done at GLVCsports.com/tickets.
