Sullivan leads Hawks in loss to No. 13 Gorillas

Four players scored in double figures to lead 13th-ranked Pittsburg State to a 75-56 victory over Rockhurst Friday on the second day of the Gorilla/Bearcat Classic at Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium.

The Gorillas jumped out to a 16-point lead in the second period and took a 40-28 lead into halftime. Rockhurst cut PSU's lead to 11, 48-37, on a three-pointer by Macie Conway with 4:24 left in the third period. The Gorillas proceeded to go on a 10-0 run to take a 21-point lead.

Keegan Sullivan led the Hawks with 22 points, six rebounds and three assists. She scored 17 points in the first half on seven-of-10 shooting.

Rebeca Garcia posted nine points, five rebounds and two steals. Chloe Frank added a team-high seven rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 28.1 percent (18-of-64) from the floor and 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the foul line. The Hawks outrebounded the Gorillas, 46-44.
