The Hawks are averaging 72.0 points per game
The Rockhurst Hawks host No. 10 Washburn in their home opener on Friday at Mason-Halpin Field House at 7 p.m. in a contest between two undefeated teams.

Rockhurst (2-0) won both of its games at last week's GLIAC/GLVC Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Hawks defeated Davenport last Friday, 64-54, behind three Hawks finishing in double figures in points. Nick Arensberg led the Hawks with 13 points, while Brian Hawthorne and Jaylen Wesley each scored 11.

The next day, Rockhurst completed a 14-point come-from-behind-win against Purdue Northwest, defeating the Pride 80-75. Four Hawks scored 11 or more points, including Jesse White and Wesley who had 18 points apiece with Hawthorne and Arensberg each scoring 11.

Washburn (3-0) won its first two games of the season at the Central Region Tipoff Challenge in Kansas City, Missouri. The Ichabods defeated Sioux Falls, 89-71, on Nov. 8 and earned an 85-68 victory a day later over No. 1 Minnesota State. Most recently, 10th-ranked Washburn won 97-57 over Ottawa on Tuesday.

The Ichabods lead the all-time series 33-31, but the Hawks have won the last four contests played at Mason-Halpin. In their last meeting, Rockhurst fell to Washburn, 82-66, on Nov. 18, 2023, in Topeka, Kansas.
