The Hawks play Hillsdale and Parkside on Friday
The 16th annual Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover, the nation's largest collegiate volleyball tournament, will be held at the Hammond Sportsplex & Community Center in Hammond, Indiana this weekend. The event will pit 14 Great Lakes Valley Conference volleyball teams against 13 institutions representing the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and 11 programs from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Rockhurst (10-5, 4-2 GLVC) is the No. 4 seed from the GLVC. The Hawks begin this year's Midwest Region Crossover by facing Hillsdale (11-2), the top seed in the G-MAC, Friday at 2 p.m.

Dating back to 2012, Rockhurst is 4-3 against Hillsdale and is on a two-match winning streak against the Chargers. In their last matchup, Rockhurst won 3-1 over Hillsdale on Aug. 26, 2022, inside Mason-Halpin Field House.

Rockhurst faces Parkside (7-9), the No. 7 seed in the GLIAC, at 7 p.m. to finish Friday's action.  The Hawks are 6-1 all-time against the Rangers, winning 3-0 in their last matchup on Oct. 27, 2017, in Kansas City. Rockhurst has won six consecutive matches against Parkside.

Live stats will be provided for all courts, while every match will also be live streamed through JEDtv. Links to both coverage options can be found on the tournament website.

Saturday's tournament action gets underway at 9 a.m. with additional sessions slated for 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. to wrap things up. Nine of the matches on Saturday will be determined by results from Friday's competition and updated on the website Friday evening after the last session.

At the conclusion, the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team will be announced.
