Hawks open road trip at Missouri S&T

The Hawks rank fourth in scoring defense in the GLVC

The Rockhurst women open a two-game road trip at Missouri S&T at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The Hawks will then face Maryville in St. Louis on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Behind the play of its defense, Rockhurst (9-4, 6-3 GLVC) has won seven of their last eight games. The Hawks held Indianapolis and Lewis to 53 points and 66 points, respectively, last week.

Missouri S&T (3-14, 0-9 GLVC) is led by junior forward Katelynn Roberts, who ranks third in scoring (17.4 pg) and fourth in rebounding (8.4 pg) in the GLVC.

Maryville (7-8, 4-5 GLVC) is coming off a 79-58 win at Southwest Baptist last Saturday. Graduate student Carsyn Fearday leads the Saints with a 13.8 scoring average.
