Late rally lifts Hawks to 55-53 win over Lewis

Keegan Sullivan and Macie Conway combined for 32 points to lead Rockhurst to a 55-53 victory over Lewis Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Sullivan led the Hawks with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists. She made five-of-six 3-pointers. Sullivan's fifth trey gave the Hawks a 52-51 lead with 3:15 left.

Allison McFerran made three free throws in the final 10 seconds to secure the win. The Flyers' Grace Hilber missed a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Conway finished with 13 points on five-of-eight shooting. Rebeca Garcia posted seven rebounds, four steals and three blocks.

The Hawks ended the game on a 15-7 run to rally from a six-point deficit at the 7:09 mark. Rockhurst shot 34.7 percent from the field (17-of-49) and 90.5 percent from the foul line (19-of-21).

Lewis (9-6, 8-1 GLVC) made 16-of-46 field goals (34.8 percent). Hilber led the Flyers with 13 points.

Rockhurst (9-4, 6-3 GLVC) travels to Missouri S&T on Thursday.
