First-half goal carries UMSL to 1-0 win over Hawks

Missouri-St. Louis made a first-half goal hold up as the Tritons blanked Rockhurst, 1-0, in a Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer game Sunday at Bourke Field.

UMSL scored the winning goal on a six-yard shot just inside the left post by Kendal White in the 33rd minute.

Rockhurst outshot the Tritons, 14-7. The Hawks had six shots in the first half and eight shots in the second half.

Anna Lantz led the Hawks with four shots. Elle Kimball, Hanna Jones and Caitlyn Smith each collected two shots. Junior goalkeeper Taylor James stopped four Triton shots.

Rockhurst (3-2-1, 1-1 GLVC) play at Indianapolis on Friday.
