Rockhurst University Director of Athletics Kristy Bayer has announced the hiring of LaTisha Davis as the new Spirit Squad Director and Head Dance Coach and Brynn Foust as the new Head Cheer Coach.

Davis, who is the director of Multicultural Belonging and Engagement at Rockhurst, has more than 20 years of experience as a dance coach and coordinator. Her coaching background includes serving as the Head Cheer and Dance Coach at Coffeyville Community College for three years, and Dance Team Coach for arena and indoor professional football in Macon, Georgia with the Macon Knights; Wichita, Kansas with the Wichita Wild; and Topeka with the Kansas Koyotes. LaTisha also was on the dance team at Wichita State.

"We are thrilled to have someone with LaTisha's extensive dance background leading our program," Bayer said. "She has had experience at all levels: high school, college, and professional. She is dedicated to the growth of our student-athletes and to see our dance program flourish."

Foust has been an instructor with the National Cheerleaders Association since 2018, including head instructor for the past year. She was on the Kansas State University cheerleading team for four years and served as team captain during her senior season. She graduated from K-State with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Gerontology in 2022, and will be entering her second year as a graduate student in the Physical Therapy program at Rockhurst.

"We are excited to have someone with Brynn's experience to lead our Cheer program," Bayer said. "She has competed at the highest level, and she has many years of coaching experience. I am looking forward to seeing the growth of our Cheer program under her leadership."
