Calvin to attend NCAA Workshop for Athletic Trainers

Michael Calvin will the NCAA Division II Workshop for Athletic Trainers in Indianapolis.

Rockhurst Head Athletic Trainer Michael Calvin is taking part in the second NCAA Division II Workshop for Athletic Trainers, which will be held June 6-8 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Three head athletic trainers from each conference will benefit from this professional development opportunity that briefs participants about Division II strategic positioning initiatives and prepares them to return to their schools and share these tools and resources with their constituents.

"Being in a new leadership position at Rockhurst University, I feel it is important for me to learn how to improve and grow as a leader of a Sports Medicine Team in order to help others grow in their careers and meet their goals. I feel the workshop can provide me with some tools and ideas to do so," said Calvin, who also serves as the assistant athletic director for sports performance and student wellness at Rockhurst.

"I am also excited to learn more about how the NCAA Division II processes work and make more connections with other professionals at the same level to have valuable resources."
