Hawks receive eight GLVC postseason honors

Kevin Kelley was named GLVC Co-Coach of the Year.

Seven men's lacrosse players from Rockhurst and head coach Kevin Kelley earned postseason honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Friday.

Senior long-stick midfielder Luke Goetz earned All-GLVC First Team honors for the second year in a row. Graduate midfielder Grant Brunsvold, graduate goalie Hayden Harris and graduate defender Matt Buckley were named to the All-GLVC Second Team.

Three Hawks earned honorable mention honors: junior long-stick midfielder Matt Campion, senior attacker Jake Fisher and freshman midfielder Lars Yarkosky.

Kelley shared the GLVC Coach of the Year honors with the head coaches from Indianapolis and Maryville.

Buckey was Rockhurst's nominee for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
