Women finish eighth at GLVC Championships

Caroline Setter led the Hawks with a 246 score over 54 holes.

The Rockhurst women's golf team finished eighth at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golf Championships Saturday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Course in Smithville, Missouri. The Hawks completed the three rounds of stroke play at 998 (325-342-331).

Caroline Setter tied for 24th to lead the Hawks. Setter fired a 77 and 85 in the first two rounds and closed with an 84 to finish at 246.

Celia Stiltner tied 28th at 247 (81-88-78) and Emma Mullendore tied for 32nd with a 249 score (82-84-83). Grace Claney placed 42nd at 256 (85-85-86) and Jayden Berrey tied for 52nd at 269 (85-91-93) to round out the Rockhurst scores.

Indianapolis finished first in stroke play at 892, followed by Missouri-St. Louis at 939. Illinois Springfield was third at 943, while Drury was fourth at 946. Springfield defeated Indianapolis in the match play finals on Sunday.
