Indianapolis defeated Rockhurst, 4-0, in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Saturday at the UIndy Tennis Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Hawks (13-8) fell behind 1-0 after doubles play. Indy won No. 2 doubles (6-4) and No. 3 doubles (6-3). The Hawks' No. 1 doubles team of Louis Keiner and Josef Truhlar were leading 5-3 when their match was stopped after Indy clinched the team point in doubles.
Keiner fell in two sets to Indy's Edgar Destouet, 6-4 and 6-1, in No. 1 singles. Semyon Tsyrenov lost in No. 2 singles, 6-4 and 6-0, to Tom Zeuch. Indy's Louis Picaud defeated RU's Agustin Cortes, 6-1 and 6-1, in No. 3 singles.
