Maya Gallagher hit two home runs and drove in four runs to power Rockhurst to a 6-1 victory over Drury in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday at Loyola Park. The Hawks completed the sweep with a 4-0 win in the second game to remain undefeated at 6-0 in conference play.
Game One: RU 6, Drury 1Â
Gallagher gave the Hawks a 3-0 lead with a solo home run to left field in the fifth inning. She added a three-run homer to center field in the sixth.
- Gallagher and Jaden Santoni combined for five of the Hawks' seven hits.
- Avery Huffman hit a two-run double to left field in the third.
- BreAnna Droge (3-1) held the Panthers to one run on seven hits in 7.0 innings.Â
Game 2: RU 4, Drury 0
Rockhurst struck first in the second with a Calli Wibbenmeyer solo home run down the left-field line. Rockhurst added three more runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
- Jayla Pierce hit a run-scoring single in the fifth.
- Huffman (3-3) shut out the Panthers while allowing three hits in 7.0 innings. Â
