Colorado Mesa stopped Rockhurst's two-game winning streak, posting a 17-7 victory over the Hawks Tuesday in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The Hawks kept it close in the first quarter, only trailing by one, and ended the half down 6-3. The Mavericks opened the third quarter on a three-goal run to take a 12-6 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Hawks were unable to rally and were outscored 5-1 in the fourth quarter.

Logan Derosia led the Hawks with three goals and three ground balls. Mackenzie Blair tallied five draw controls, three ground balls, one caused turnovers and one goal. Sydney Shindler collected eight saves and three ground balls. Kelly Marion added six draw controls.

The Hawks will be back in action Thursday against Colorado State-Pueblo.
