Bearcats rally for 4-3 win over Hawks

The Rockhurst men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to 42nd-ranked Northwest Missouri State on Friday night at the Milburn Country Club in Overland Park, Kansas.

Louis Keiner won in No. 1 singles in three sets over 37th-ranked Andrea Zamurri. Keiner won the last two sets, 6-4 and 6-4.

Semyon Tsyrenov captured his No. 3 singles match in three sets over Fabien Calloud. Tsyrenov won the first set, 6-4, and the third set, 6-2.

Rockhurst took an early 1-0 lead by winning two of three doubles matches. Tsyrenov and Joe Harris won No. 2 doubles by a 6-4 score. Agustin Cortes and Felipe Castellanos were victors in No. 3 doubles, 6-3.

The Hawks (5-5) host Lubbock Christian on Monday at the Northland Racquet Club at 4 p.m.
