Hawks fall to No. 8 Regis University, 17-9

The Rockhurst women ended their undefeated run with a 17-9 loss against eighth-ranked Regis University on Tuesday at Bourke Field.

The Rangers (2-0) jumped out to a 7-3 to start the second quarter. The Hawks were outscored 8-4 in the second half.

Dani Mabry led the Hawks with three goals and two assists. Kharis Perona scored two goals on three shots. Reagan Danner posted two goals and two ground balls.

Audrey Titzer collected three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Christine Corbin tallied a team-high six draw controls. Sydney Shindler finished with three saves and two ground balls.

The Hawks (2-1) are back home to host Colorado-Colorado Springs on Friday at 3 p.m.
