The Rockhurst women will close out the regular season at home this week against Truman State and Quincy. The Hawks host the Bulldogs (18-8, 14-4 GLVC) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and face the QU Hawks (11-5, 7-11 GLVC) on Senior Day at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Rockhurst (12-14, 7-11 GLVC) is sitting alone in 11th place in the GLVC Point Rating System. If the Hawks finish in the top eight in the standings, they will earn a spot in the GLVC Tournament, so the games this weekend are crucial to increase their chances.
Keegan Sullivan continues to lead the Hawks in scoring. The junior guard, who ranks seventh in the GLVC, with a 15.9 scoring average, has scored 414 points this season thus far.
Truman State is ranked second in the GLVC Point Rating System. The Bulldogs are led by senior guard Hannah Belanger, who leads the conference in scoring (21.6 pg) in the GLVC.
Quincy is coming a 67-51 loss to Truman State on Saturday. The last meeting against Rockhurst was in January when the RU Hawks took a 68-60 victory. Quincy is led by Beth Martin Matas, who averages 17.0 points per game.
