Rockhurst posts 82-60 win over Baker

Four players scored in double figures to power Rockhurst to an 82-60 victory over the Baker Wildcats Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks jumped out to a 27-18 lead after the first quarter, connecting on 10-of-12 free throws. Rockhurst outscored the Wildcats 55-42 over the final 30 minutes.

Rebeca Garcia led the Hawks with 16 points and seven rebounds. Keegan Sullivan posted 12 points and three assists. Allison McFarren scored 12 points with three 3-pointers.

Macie Conway tallied 10 points. Nora Ford collected nine points. Ali Kamies added seven points and four rebounds. Sophie Leinfelder made four steals.

The Hawks shot 30.7 percent from the field (23-of-75) and 78.1 percent from the foul line (25-of-32). Rockhurst scored 35 points off 25 Baker turnovers.

Baker (1-13) made 19-of-58 field goals (32.8 percent). Sophia Barrett led the Wildcats with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Rockhurst (6-3) returns to conference play against Quincy on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
